Teachers:
If possible, place all documents in a small box or large envelope that will hold the students entire set of documents together. Place the award name applying, student name, district and chapter on the outside of the folder or container you place your items in to turn in. This just helps to keep things from getting separated. Do this per each student.
All App’s and Record Books are due at your district degree check and those advancing will need to be at Area Degree Check complete. Check your AET Calendar for dates. www.theaet.com/Region/Calendar/
Americans
• Americans- 1 application & 1 printed record book (Can print from the Application under Supporting Records III. Click on the blue link to the right side that generated the students application # and Access Code it is just an easy place to print the book from. Nothing new, its been there just in case you never noticed it try printing form there.
• American applications ending date of Dec 31
• The completed record book can be in an award folder, a binder or printed f/b and stapled
• SAE plans are included in the record book and do not need to be printed separately
• Students do not need to be at degree check unless they are star candidate.
Lone Stars
• 1 application stapled top left-hand corner, no notebook or folder
• 1 completed record book can be in an award folder or 3 ring binder may be printed front to back
• SAE plans are included in the record book and do not need to be printed separately
• Ending date of April 1 of application
• Students do not need to be at degree check for lone star unless they are star candidate

Star Candidates:
• 1 original application & original battery together. (In a 3-braded award folder)
• 1 original record book (can put in a 3-ring notebook/binder, award folder or printed f/b and stapled top left-hand corner)
• 2 black and white or color copies of the application and battery. (each can be in a braded folder or stapled)
• Students must be ready to interview in official dress on day of degree check
Proficiency Award Applications
• 1 original color application, please staple application in top left-hand corner (NOT IN A FOLDER per Tx FFA)
- 1 record book, can be printed front to back if you choose. In a binder or stapled top left-hand corner
• No separate SAE plans signed only need the plans that print inside the book
• REMEMBER to verify ending date of Dec 31 for proficiencies applications
• Students do not need to be at degree check for proficiency awards.
